Instapage pricing: how the plans are built and what to check first

How Instapage plans are structured: Create, Optimize and Convert, what each adds, how visitor limits work, and the cost check to run first.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-18

Quick answerInstapage lists Create, Optimize and a custom Convert plan, with monthly or annual billing. Testing and text matching begin on Optimize, and the trial needs a credit card. This page shows no prices because they change with the billing toggle; check them live, then run the break-even test below.
Instapage is likely to fit when

✓ Accounts with several ad groups that need keyword-matched pages

✓ Advertisers who will run A/B tests on Optimize or higher

✓ Teams that want visual page comments and reusable blocks

✓ Buyers ready to cancel a trial before the card is charged

Important limitations

— One small campaign with few clicks a month

— Anyone who needs A/B testing but only wants the entry plan

— Buyers who want a free tool or no card at sign-up

— Accounts that need independent tested ratings first

Instapage pricing: three plan levels and a billing choice

Instapage lists three plan levels on its plans page: Create, Optimize and Convert. Create and Optimize can be started online. Convert is a custom plan sold through a demo. A toggle switches between monthly and annual billing, and the annual option is shown at a lower monthly rate.

This page lists no prices on purpose. They change, and the figure you see depends on which billing option is selected. Read the numbers on the live plans page with the toggle set both ways, then use the cost check below. Everything here was read on October 18, 2026.

What each plan level adds, as listed on the plans page

The plan cards build on each other. Each higher level keeps what the one below it has and adds more.

  • Create: website and landing page builder, reusable blocks and forms, visual comments, triggered popups and sticky bars, AI content, contacts and email, and programmatic pages.
  • Optimize: everything in Create plus server-side A/B testing, hypothesis setting, experiment history, custom traffic splits, scheduling, multi-step forms and dynamic text replacement.
  • Convert: everything in Optimize plus ad-to-page personalization, global elements, root domain publishing, heatmaps, direct lead bypass to a CRM, and a dedicated customer success manager.

Visitor limits, add-ons and hidden costs: what the page says

Instapage meters plans by unique monthly visitors, not by clicks or leads. Paid ads send visitors, so that limit is the number to check first against your ad budget. The plans page states that all plans include unlimited pages, conversions and contacts. Its usage table also lists pages per Collection, team members, subdomains and workspaces side by side.

Optimize comes with two usage options, a standard one and an expanded one. Custom usage beyond those is offered only on annual contracts, according to the plans FAQ. In the text we read, the plans page does not say what happens to visitors above a plan's limit, and it does not list add-ons. Ask the vendor before you rely on either point.

Trial terms: card required, own traffic limit, automatic billing

The plans FAQ says free trials are available for Create and Optimize. A credit card is required to start, which the vendor says guards against phishing sign-ups. The trial ends when you upgrade, reach the trial traffic limit of 2,500 unique monthly visitors, or reach day 14 without canceling. After that the card is charged for the plan you chose. You cancel from the Account Management tab under Subscriptions. Convert has no self-serve trial; the vendor offers a live demo instead.

The home page describes the trial as free with no obligations. The FAQ is the more detailed statement, so plan around it. If you send real ad traffic during the trial, the visitor limit can end it early.

Is it worth the fee? A break-even check for a small budget

Work this out before you start a trial, using your own numbers. Write down the monthly plan fee from the live page. Then write down your monthly ad clicks and your current page's conversion rate.

Here is an example, for arithmetic only. With 800 clicks a month and a 2 percent conversion rate you get 16 leads. If testing lifted the rate to 3 percent, you would get 24. The tool earns its fee only if those 8 extra leads are worth more than the fee. If the lift never comes, the fee is added cost per lead. No vendor can promise the lift, and this site does not.

Small budgets make this harder in two ways. Fewer clicks mean more months before a test shows a clear winner, and the first plan level's card does not list an A/B testing feature.

Which plan level matches which job

Match the level to the job, not to the longest feature list.

  • Create fits one or two pages sent from a single campaign, where speed to publish matters and testing can wait.
  • Optimize fits several ad groups, or any account where you plan to run A/B tests and keyword-matched headlines.
  • Convert fits teams that need ad-to-page connections for many ads, plus the support that comes with a managed account.
  • Our Instapage review covers strengths and limits, and the Unbounce comparison shows how a rival lays out its own tiers.
