Instapage builds landing pages for ads. Its plans page lists unlimited published pages on every plan, and a Collection is a set of pages made from one template and a content table that counts as one published page. Create allows 15 pages in a Collection, and Optimize 30 on the 30,000 option and 50 on the 50,000 option. Per its plans page, Instapage can also publish into an existing WordPress or Drupal site.
Webflow prices each site and sets plans by static pages, bandwidth and a CMS, a content management system. Starter has 2 static pages and 1 GB of bandwidth, Basic has 300 static pages and 10 GB, and Premium adds the CMS. Webflow says its prices are in US dollars, per site, plus applicable taxes.
A/B testing: Instapage Optimize or the Webflow Optimize add-on
Webflow keeps A/B testing out of its site plans. The Webflow Optimize add-on adds A/B testing and personalization, based on page views: $299 a month, billed yearly, or $379 a month, billed monthly, for 25,000 page views, the default option. Webflow lists up to 5 concurrent optimizations in it. The add-on is for site plans, so a site plan is priced separately.
Instapage Optimize with 30,000 unique monthly visitors is $159 a month, billed annually, or $199, billed monthly, and includes server-side A/B testing and dynamic text replacement, which is page text that changes to match a value in the web address, such as a keyword or an ad.
Limits: unique visitors against bandwidth and page views
The two vendors count different things. Instapage counts unique monthly visitors, meaning the different people who visit your published pages in a month, and counts a person again after 3 days. Webflow sets bandwidth on each site plan and bases its add-on on page views. Because the units differ, the two limits cannot be compared one for one.
Webflow Starter allows 50 form submissions, and Basic lists unlimited form submissions. If paid traffic passes an Instapage limit, its help center says the account is locked.
Free routes, trials and who should pick which
Webflow Starter is free: a site on a Webflow.io domain with 2 static pages, 1 GB of bandwidth and 50 form submissions. A custom domain begins with Basic. Instapage has no free plan, and its 14-day trial asks for a credit card first. Free landing page for Google Ads lists more no-cost routes.
- Webflow for a whole website with a CMS: Premium is $25 a month, billed yearly, or a free Starter site on a Webflow.io domain.
